Bike Theft
Saturday, August 23rd, 2008If you are a biker in any one of the major city’s of the world, then you know about getting your bike jacked. After getting everything from pedals, a seat, tires, to my entire bike stolen, I decided to start keeping my bike in doors. Of course my girlfriend was not excited about this move, and it has been her amo for a lot of fights (”why are you home so late??! were you out with some other girls? you are hanging out with other girls and you have that stupid bike in our apartment!!”).
Well now I have some proof that it is a bad idea to leave your bike chained up outside. Recently, a bike thief in Toronto was caught with a record setting 2,396 stolen bikes (you should def. read the full story, this guy was a nut). Never mind the fact that storing over 2,000 stolen bikes would be difficult, what the hell would you do with that many stolen bikes? And how!? you would have to steal one bike a day, everyday, for over 4 years.
