“My Dreams Have No Meaning”

Things I have Learned In My Life So Far

Ok, ok, I blew this one. Stefan Sagmeister put on a show at the beginning of this year entitled “Things I Have Learned in My Life So Far.” It gave some insight into the Sagmeister’s personal diary (as the title suggests) and extended the question to the visitors of the exhibition as well.

It also acted as a launch party for his book under the same name. Thankfully, this idea has taken many other forms besides an exhibition or a book so that if you missed the show (as I did) you could experience it in a different way. I realized that I had really blown it when I saw the mini-documentary filmed by Hillman Curtis (another fantastic NYC designer and director). The School of Visual Arts also did a mini-documentary and you there is even a website where you can upload the things that you’ve come to believe in or the profound things that you have learned in your life.

What I’ve learned: when Stefan Sagmeister hosts an exhibition, I shouldn’t miss it.
